Sirnaomics’ Innovative “One Drug, Two Targets” muRNA Project Approved as Lingang Laboratory Scientific Research Task

Recently, the Lingang Laboratory scientific research task project titled “Construction of Innovative ‘One Drug, Two Targets’ muRNA Nucleic Acid Drugs and Preclinical Research Targeting Dyslipidemia” was officially approved. This project is led by Professor Tang Xinjing’s team from Peking University, with Sirnaomics participating in the joint application.


Project Focus and Technology


This project addresses the major clinical demand for treating dyslipidemia. It focuses on key targets including:


● PCSK9
● ANGPTL3
● DGAT2

Dyslipidemia—specifically elevated low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and triglycerides (TG)—is a critical risk factor for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. While current lipid-lowering treatments have made significant strides, single-target therapies still face limitations when dealing with complex pathological mechanisms and high residual risks.


This newly approved project will conduct systematic research centered on the “one drug, two targets” strategy to:


● Further validate the innovative value of multi-target synergistic intervention in metabolic disease treatment.
● Establish a solid foundation for subsequent clinical translation.
