Sirnaomics, Inc. is a leading clinical stage biopharmaceutical company in the discovery and development of RNAi therapeutics for treatment of cancer and fibrotic diseases.  We are seeking candidates to fill the newly created position of Scientist/Biologist in our headquarters in Gaithersburg, MD.

The successful candidate will focus on assessment of efficiency of RNA interference in tissues and mammalian cell cultures with qRT-PCR, ddPCR endpoints and other assays. Specifically, this person will develop siRNA targeting validation assay (qRT-PCR, ddPCR), and experiment design; perform cell-based assays, qRT-PCR, ddPCR to evaluate siRNA-mediated KD effect; sample analysis using real-time qPCR and droplet digital PCR (ddPCR); cell culture, transfection; manual and automated RNA extraction; cDNA synthesis; targeting assay development optimization, standard curve; and other related activities.

To be considered for this position, the well qualified candidate will have an advanced degree (PhD/MS), or equivalent, in cell biology, molecular biology, immunology, or related field of study, and two or more years of relevant experience to include method design, development, and validation. This person should also have a demonstrated deep knowledge and strong hand-on experience with primary liver hepatocytes samples and real-time qRT-PCR, droplet digital PCR and other. Experience in RNA/gene targeted in vitro validation assay or oligonucleotide conjugation validation is a plus. The candidate should be a self-starter with good interpersonal skill and master excel & PowerPoint presentation to deliver reports to a group.
